Join Us for Strong Towns
Join us as we learn about the Strong Towns approach to rebuilding and revitalizing our communities.
John Reuter of Strong Towns will be leading a virtual Curbside Chat on September 15, 9 AM to noon. He’ll explain, in plain language, how so many American cities have found themselves in decline after decades of “growth.” The problem lies in the current model of development — one which values short-term gains over long-term prosperity.
Following the presentation, we will break out into working groups to discuss regional assets, challenges, and ways that the Strong Towns approach can be of benefit to our regional community.
Who Should Attend? Community members who are interested in community revitalization and/or work within the realm of community development, economic development, workforce development, and housing.
Why Virtual? With a key component of this meeting being virtual, we want to make sure everyone in the region has equal access to engage and participate in the meeting. Don’t worry though, we’ll continue to have in-person/Zoom hybrid networking meetings in the future.
RSVP to attend Strong Towns Wednesday, September 15, 9 AM to noon via Zoom.
