Mission West Celebrates the 102nd International Cooperative Day!
This last Saturday, July 6th, Mission West joined the global cooperative community in celebrating #CoopsDay2024 or International Day of Cooperatives! This year’s theme, “Cooperatives Build a Better Future for All,” points to the proven strength of cooperatives to meet the needs of all in our communities, not just the few. For that reason and many more, the United Nations, who formalize the celebration each year, recognizes cooperatives as a valuable tool for economic and social development and as such has declared 2025 the International Year of Cooperatives!
For #CoopsDay2024, cooperatives near and far showcased their high standards for inclusive and sustainable growth. As advocates of the Cooperative Principles and Values, directors, members, and staff of co-ops demonstrate self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity, and solidarity as central values to our cooperative economy. Today and every day, Mission West celebrates and supports the important work of our cooperative community in rural areas of Montana, Idaho, and Washington, as well as the work of our broader cooperative ecosystem.
