About This Program

Capital for Rural Montana Businesses

Mission West CDP's Business Development Center offers flexible loan products designed specifically for small businesses in rural western Montana. Whether you're starting a new venture, purchasing equipment, expanding your space, or bridging a financing gap, we work with you to find the right solution.

We serve as a complement to traditional bank financing, providing gap financing, credit enhancements, and direct loans when conventional lenders can't fully meet the need. Our loan officers have deep roots in the region and understand the unique challenges of doing business here.

Loans are available to businesses and entrepreneurs in Lake, Sanders, and Mineral counties and the Flathead Indian Reservation.

02 · The Process

How It Works

Our process is straightforward. We guide you through every step.

01

Pre-Qualification

Talk with our Senior Loan Program Manager, John Whitworth, to discuss your financing needs, review your business situation, and determine which loan products are the best fit.

02

Submit Your Application

Complete the loan application through our client portal. You'll provide your business plan, financial statements, two to three years of tax returns, and other documentation as required.

03

Underwriting & Review

Our team reviews your application, credit history, collateral, and business projections. We may request additional documentation or a follow-up conversation during this stage.

04

Decision & Disbursement

Upon approval, we finalize loan terms, complete closing paperwork, and disburse funds. Approval decisions typically take 2 to 4 weeks from a completed application. Your loan officer stays in contact throughout the life of the loan.
