Intermediary Relending Program RLF
Fund Overview
The Intermediary Relending Program (IRP) is a USDA Rural Development program where Mission West borrows funds from the federal government at low cost and re-lends those dollars to rural businesses at competitive market rates. The result: gap financing at favorable terms for businesses in rural areas that lack access to private credit.
IRP loans are particularly useful for businesses with strong projects that cannot fully qualify through conventional channels, whether due to collateral gaps, rural location, or financing needs that exceed what a local bank can hold. Mission West has used IRP funds to support a wide range of business types across our service area.
