About This Program

Investing in Downtown Ronan's Future

The Ronan Tourism Grant Program is administered by Mission West CDP's Community Economic Development department as part of the Montana Department of Commerce Pilot Community Tourism Grant Program (PCTGP). This five-year regional initiative provides matching grants to support downtown revitalization, tourism infrastructure, and public art in the Ronan area. The program is designed to strengthen the community's identity as a destination, improve the visitor experience, and create lasting physical improvements that benefit residents and travelers alike. Ronan is the only community in Lake County selected for this pilot program. The Ronan Downtown Master Plan laid the foundation for many of these projects. Developed with community input, it outlines strategies to strengthen Main Street, improve walkability, preserve local culture, and create a stronger tourism economy. The plan continues to serve as a roadmap for revitalization and helps guide how grant dollars are invested. Downtown Master Plan (PDF) · Executive Summary (PDF)
